Email statements


Why you need this

  • Online Banking now offers you the ability to have your statements emailed directly to you
  • Save money by having your statement emailed to you for free

How this can help you

  • Easy to file - it is easier to file an electronic statement versus a paper statement
  • More secure - email statements are more secure than paper statements as paper statements can be lost in the post. The email statement is encrypted and cannot be tampered with

How to set up email statements

  • Once you have logged onto Online Banking, select Email statements from the Accounts Tab.
  • Select the appropriate account/s of which you require the statements to be delivered to you via email.
  • Enter the primary email address to which you'd like the statements to be sent to, as well as two additional email addresses, should you so choose.
  • Select the formats you would prefer to receive your statements in - plain text (CSV), PDF or both (account dependent).
  • You will start receiving your statements via email as of the next statement cycle.
  • If you have been receiving your statements by post in the past, this service will now be cancelled automatically and you will only receive your statements via email.

What it costs

This service is free of charge. Subscribing to the emailing of statements service will cost you nothing - no matter how many accounts you select to be delivered, to a maximum of three email addresses!

inContact


What this is

inContact is an innovative messaging system that keeps you updated with your account balances, helping you manage your money and prevent fraud on your account. The inContact service sends you a message via SMS or email each time a transaction (above TZS18,000) is carried out on any of your FNB accounts.

What you need to know

  • You will only receive your inContact messages for transactions over TZS18,000
  • You will only receive messages for transactions on accounts which belong to you
  • inContact will not send messages for transactions on accounts which you access via a link or mandate
  • If you would like to receive SMS alerts outside the country's borders, international roaming must be activated with the applicable mobile network operator
